From very long-lived Shiraz vines, fruit is left to ripen fully on the vine to maximise rich concentrated flavour. Fortified with a high quality brandy spirit, the distinctive nutty, ‘rancio’ character of this fine old Tawny is the result of more than 20 years of aging in oak barrels. During this extended maturation period the wine develops layers of depth and complexity and all the hallmark characteristics of a classic Australian Tawny.
