Sebring McLaren Vale Shiraz was crafted specifically for the dedicated band of Austin Healey owners in Australia and across the world.
A vibrant and lifted bouquet of red berry fruits, plums and hints of anise and vanillin spice, the palate is generously loaded with black fruits, balanced by fine, supple tannins and sweet spice. Sebring Shiraz is soft and round with a satisfying fruit length.
The celebrated long-distance Sebring race circuit in Florida is synonymous with Austin Healey.
Competition variants, built and prepared by the Donald Healey Motor Company at Warwick UK contested every Sebring 12-hour event from 1954-1968, with the best result a 6th outright in 1955 for a works 100S model driven by Stirling Moss and Lance Macklin.
Our featured cars, Austin Healey 100S chassis AHS 3906, built in 1955 by DHMC as a tribute to successes at Sebring, and 57 FAC, one of three lightweight 3000 MkII lightweight alloy racers built for the 1963 Sebring endurance race, epitomize the Austin Healey-Sebring association.
Their competition histories long past, these glorious, rare Big Healeys reside among the Shiraz vines at Penny’s Hill in McLaren Vale, and ply the fine, fast roads of the Adelaide Hills through the Sauvignon Blanc plantings.
